About ATB Corporate

A specialist advisory practice for India–UAE market entry, cross-border structuring and transaction advisory. Founded by senior professionals. Offices in Abu Dhabi and Bengaluru.

Who We Are

A Boutique Firm Built Around a Single Corridor

ATB Corporate is a boutique advisory firm built around a single focus: advising businesses, investors and family offices on market entry, cross-border structuring and advisory across the India–UAE corridor. The two founding partners first worked together as colleagues in 2005. Over the two decades that followed — careers that took each of them across India, the UAE, Singapore and Australia — they maintained both the professional relationship and the conviction that underpins it: that the highest standard of advisory work is not a marketing position but a professional obligation, and that the India–UAE corridor deserved a firm built around it rather than one that arrived at it by accident.

The founding partners bring complementary disciplines to that focus — one with deep expertise in consulting, transaction advisory, due diligence and valuation across a broad range of industries; the other with senior finance leadership experience spanning CFO mandates, treasury structuring and capital strategy across healthcare, telecoms and financial services in the UAE, India and internationally. Between them, they cover the advisory and execution dimensions of a cross-border mandate from structural design through to implementation, without either dimension being handed off.

ATB is deliberately organised as a boutique. We are selective on the engagements we take, limit the number of active mandates so that senior attention is sustained throughout, and measure our work by whether the structure or advice we provide holds up — at the bank, with the investor, at the next regulatory review, or at the point of exit.

Our Approach

We Advise From the Structure First, Not the Registration

We start from the structure, not the registration. When a client asks us about entering the UAE or India, our first question is not “which jurisdiction” — it is what the structure needs to support in twelve months and in three years: banking relationships, investor diligence, profit repatriation, tax review, the next phase of growth. Designing the structure against that question produces an entity that holds up. Designing it against the registration requirement alone produces one that creates friction at exactly the point it is most exposed.

We work across the India–UAE corridor as a single integrated practice, not as two separate national advisers coordinating after the fact. That means structuring documentation, tax positions, intercompany arrangements and regulatory compliance are designed to be consistent on both sides from the outset. For clients with entities in both jurisdictions — or planning them — this removes the gap that most multi-firm arrangements leave at the point where the two sides meet.

Engagements begin with a scoping conversation at no cost. We use that conversation to understand what is already in place, what is being considered, and where the real structuring questions sit — before any scope or fee is proposed. Where we take on a mandate, it is senior-led from scoping through delivery. The partner who understood the brief is the partner reviewing the work.

Scope

What We Will and Will Not Do

What we do

  • Market entry advisory for businesses entering the UAE or India — from jurisdiction selection and structuring through to operational setup
  • Cross-border structuring across the India–UAE corridor, including ADGM, DIFC, GIFT City, free zones and mainland entities
  • Transaction advisory: due diligence, valuation, structuring and post-acquisition integration for cross-border deals
  • Global Capability Centre advisory — advising international businesses on establishing shared services, technology or finance operations in India, including entity structure, transfer pricing and governance
  • Tax, accounting and outsourced finance for UAE and India entities
  • Reviews of existing structures — where the structure has grown beyond its original design or has been questioned by a bank, investor or regulator
  • Market research and commercial intelligence connected to UAE and India entry and expansion decisions

What we do not do

  • We do not operate as a generalist accounting or audit firm — our work is advisory and execution, not compliance filing as an end in itself
  • We do not take on every enquiry — we assess fit before accepting a mandate and will decline where our expertise does not match the client's need
  • We do not hand advisory work to junior staff after the engagement letter is signed
  • We do not advise across markets we do not know — our depth is in the UAE and India; third-country advice is coordinated through carefully selected specialists
Our Team

Senior-Led, From Scoping to Delivery

ATB Corporate is founded and led by two senior professionals. Between them, the founding partners bring more than two decades of experience each — across markets including the UAE, India, Singapore and Australia — and both remain actively involved in every client engagement.

Consulting, Transaction Advisory & Structuring

Co-Founder & Partner

Our founding partner in consulting and transaction advisory has spent more than 21 years working at the intersection of Big Four advisory and senior industry mandates across India and the Middle East. His work spans the full transaction lifecycle — buy-side and sell-side due diligence, business valuation, deal structuring and post-transaction integration — with particular depth in cross-border arrangements between India and the Gulf. He has led and advised on mandates across Retail, Information Technology & ITES, Manufacturing, Hospitality, Infrastructure, Automotive, Telecoms and Healthcare.

He is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI, India) and holds a Bachelor of Laws — a combination that gives him grounding in both the financial and legal dimensions of the structuring and transaction work ATB undertakes, and that is relatively uncommon in cross-border advisory practice. He has also completed an Executive Program in Management at an Ivy League university in the United States.

At ATB, he leads the firm's consulting, transaction advisory and cross-border structuring practice. He works directly with clients from mandate scoping through to delivery — on the structural design, regulatory navigation and advisory judgement that determines whether a market entry or transaction holds up at the point it is tested.

Core Areas

  • Transaction advisory — leading buy-side and sell-side due diligence, business valuation and deal structuring from the advisory side
  • Market entry advisory: jurisdiction selection, regulatory approvals, structural design across UAE and India
  • Cross-border structuring: ADGM, DIFC, GIFT City, free zone and mainland entities

Qualifications

Chartered Accountant — ICAI, India Bachelor of Laws — India Executive Program in Management — Ivy League University, USA
Finance Leadership, Treasury & Capital Advisory

Co-Founder & Partner

Our founding partner in finance leadership and capital advisory has held CFO and senior finance leadership positions across the UAE, India, Singapore and Australia over a career spanning more than 20 years. He has worked at the level where finance leadership intersects with ownership decisions — advising Boards and shareholders on capital structure, managing lender relationships under pressure, and directing the financial architecture of complex multi-entity groups across jurisdictions.

His most significant UAE roles have been at NMC Healthcare — one of the largest private healthcare groups in the region — where he served as Regional Finance Business Partner across multiple business units, and at a multinational telecoms and payments group where he served as Group CFO, restructuring the business and preparing it for exit through sale. In both roles his work produced outcomes that held up at the point of scrutiny: treasury restructuring programmes that materially reduced costs, consolidated reporting that gave investors and boards genuine visibility, and capital and lender negotiations that improved cash resilience.

His career began in audit and assurance at Deloitte and PwC across India and Singapore — the technical accounting foundation that underpins the rigour he brings to financial advisory work. He holds the Chartered Accountant qualification from ICAI India and is a CPA (Australia). He has continued his development in private markets, completing programmes in private equity at Wharton and value investing at Columbia Business School.

At ATB, he leads the firm's finance leadership advisory and capital structuring practice — advising clients on the financial architecture of their UAE and India operations, treasury and working capital design, and the capital strategy decisions that determine how a cross-border structure performs under external scrutiny.

Core Areas

  • Capital and treasury structuring — cash pooling, lender relations, working capital design and treasury optimisation for UAE and India cross-border groups
  • CFO-level financial advisory: capital strategy, lender relations, investor reporting, Board-level finance
  • Restructuring and operational consolidation — including financial preparation for transaction, investor review or exit
  • Transaction support — financial due diligence, post-acquisition finance integration and working capital structuring on the finance side of a deal

Qualifications

Chartered Accountant — ICAI, India (2003) CPA — CPA Australia (2011)
